2015’s Top 10 Trending Music Videos in the Philippines

YouTube has released the top trending videos among Filipinos for 2015 with OPM hits dominating the music video category.

Though seven slots were taken by Pinoys, the top spot went to Silento’s Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) which went viral globally and inspired thousands of dance covers.

Leading the Pinoys were Kim Chiu, Vice Ganda, Carefree Girls with Liza Soberano and Darren Espanto who took the 2nd to 5th spot. Other OPM artists who made it to the top 10 are Donnalyn Bartolome, Smugglaz/Curse One/Dello/Flict-G and Alden Richards.

So before we cap off 2015 and welcome another year, let’s get a rundown of the 10 top trending music videos in the Philippines for 2015.

10. Alden Richards – Wish I May – Lyric Video

The lyric video features a slideshow of Alden’s photos. Alden is the other half of the Internet-breaking loveteam AlDub opposite Maine Mendoza a.k.a  Yaya Dub.

9. [Official Video] Cheerleader – Pentatonix (OMI Cover)

Acapella group Pentatonix’s cover of the OMI’s summertime hit song gained the attention of millions as they gave the song a refreshing a cappella twist.

8. EXO_CALL ME BABY_Music Video

As the only K-pop song that made it to this year’s local list, Exo’s music video placed third on YouTube’s official 2015 K-pop rankings.


Smugglaz, Curse One, Dello, Flict-G – A song for the barkada, this music video brings viewers to a trip down memory lane as Smugglaz, Curse, Dello, and Flict-G fondly recall memories with their friends.

6. HAPPY BREAK UP: Donnalyn Bartolome (Official Music Video)

While many dread the idea of a broken heart, Donnalyn’s music video adds a twist by giving the song a gleeful melody.
