5 Things to Expect at “In the Mix 2016” Concert

Six of today’s hottest and most sought after international acts are about to perform for the first time on one stage in the Philippines. MMI Live and Ovation Productions joined forces to create one of this year’s most anticipated music festivals dubbed as “In the Mix 2016,” which will be held on August 18 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

But before you go to that much anticipated event, Gigsmanila will list down things that you should watch out for in the In The Mix 2016 concert.

Here are 5 things to watch out for in the show:

  1. The 1975 playing songs from its second album “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it,” like “The Sound,” “Love Me,” and “Somebody Else,” while its guitarist-vocalist Matthew Healy gets drunk while singing.
  2. Panic! At the Disco covering the hit Queen song “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which is also from the soundtrack of the upcoming movie adaptation of “Suicide Squad” from DC Comics.
  3. Third Eye Blind performing their hits like “How’s It Going To Be,” “Jumper,” and “Semi-Charmed Life” that earned them a Billboard Music Award for modern rock track in the late 90’s.
  4. James Bay singing “Hold Back The River,” a song from his debut EP, “The Dark of the Morning” which has become a huge hit in the UK.
  5. Elle King showcasing her distinct music style that is a mixture of different genres like country, soul, rock and blue by performing her song “Ex’s and Oh’s” that has earned her a Grammy nomination.

Completing the line-up is the three-piece indie band Twin Pines from Glasgow, Scotland which will present fresh sounds just like their recently released single, “Young Hearts.”
