Philippine’s Pop-rock Princess Yeng Constantino shares her opinion regarding Manny Pacquiao’s derogatory statement about the LGBTQ community.

On Thursday, February 18, 2016, Yeng took to her Facebook account to air her sentiments about the issues surrounding Pacquiao’s comments. The post immediately went viral getting more than 1.9 million views as of writing.

On her Facebook video, Yeng said she doesn’t have any interest of giving comments about it but she was provoked by one netizen who asked her to take a stand against LGBT. An emotional Yeng shared she got furious and angry, and wanted to immediately respond to that comment but she was calmed down after praying with her husband.

Not known to many Yeng has a gay brother, and on her video she said she was hurt by Pacman’s comparison of LGBT people to animals. As a Born-again Christian herself with a gay member in their family, Yeng said she will not and will never ever go to the same path of condemning gay people.

Yeng also shared how she talked to her brother upon knowing Pacman’s remarks. She said, she asked apology to his brother and assured him that not all people and not all Christian’s shared the boxer’s views. She even went on to call on Christians who wanted her to take a stand against LGBT that she will not take that directions because she believe as Christian her ministry is the ministry of compassion and reconciliation.

WATCH: Here’s the complete video of Yeng sharing her sentiments on the Pacman-LGBT issue.
