Aldub Fever Continues: Eat Bulaga Opens Songwriting Competition

Eat Bulaga host Joey De Leon announces that the noontime show will be having a songwriting competition very soon.

The idea sparks amidst the popularity of Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza’s tandem popularly known as “AlDub,” which serves as an inspiration for some to pen a song.

Last Saturday, Eat Bulaga showcased performances of the singer/songwriter who initially composed an AlDub-inspired original piece. Among those featured were Keiko Nazario who wrote the “Aldub Song” and Kulas Basilonia who composed “Baeyaya.”

This Aldub Songwriting Competition will become the 2nd songwriting contest in Philippine TV following ABS-CBN’s MTB Ang Saya-saya’s “SMB Jingaling” contest.
