Facebook and Twitter feeds of ‘American Idol’ Season 2 finalist Josh Gracin were immediately flooded with messages from concerned friends and fans after he posted a cryptic message on Facebook that many interpreted as a suicide note late Thursday afternoon August 14.
“I’ve loved her for 17 years … I made mistakes … I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most,” the singer’s note presumably about his wife, Ann Gracin, to whom he’s been married since 2001.
He continued, “Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music … Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.”
According to TMZ, cops rushed to the singer’s home in Spring Hill, Tenn., after a family member saw the threatening post and called authorities. When they arrived at Gracin’s home they found his wife, but not Gracin. Police were subsequently able to contact the singer by phone. He reportedly spoke with his wife and agreed to come home.
Using the singer’s social media account, his manager posted message regarding that Gracin was safe and now at home.
Josh Gracin competed on American Idol Season 2, placing fourth. Before signing with Lyric Street Records, he returned to complete his service in the Marines. ‘I Want It Gone’ is the most recently song he released in 2013.
He and his wife have three daughters and a son together.
