Award-winning Canadian singer Celine Dion has decided to cancel her Asian tour including her Manila concert originally scheduled in November 2014.
In an article posted on her official website on Wednesday August 13, Celine is said to have postponed all her shows indefinitely to give 100% of her attention to her ailing husband Rene.
“I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing, and to do so, it’s important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support,” said Celine.
Aside from her Asian tour, Celine will also cancel her shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace until further notice.
Celine’s husband Rene has undergone cancerous tumor removal surgery last December 2013, which has made it difficult for her to balance time for her showbiz schedule and for taking care of her family. Apart from that, Celine is also yet to recover from an illness that has caused inflammation in her throat muscles, which has hindered her from performing for any of her scheduled shows in Las Vegas since July 29.
Celine and her family have requested to respect their privacy at this time.
