Generation band is set to bring new brand of classic rock with the release of their self-titled debut album under Star records. The album contains 12 all-original tracks featuring its carrier single “Love is Killing Me,” which according to the members showcases their distinct yet melodic take on classic rock.
The band maybe new to the industry but they take roots from their iconic parents. The bassist and keyboardist Joe and Mike Chan are sons of OPM legend Jose Mari Chan. The lead guitarist Kowboy Santos on the other hand is Sampaguita’s while Ige Gallardo on rhythm guitar is the son of Celeste Legaspi.
Generation was formed in 2008 and they started by performing in various gigs, playing classics from The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Cars, and others and it was in 2010 when they began recording this debut album.
Other songs included in the album are “Make It Right,” “Idol,” “Shine Your Light On Me,” “Keena,” “Star,” “Walking A Fine Line,” “Can’t Be Wrong,” “Purple,” “He’s Gone,” “She,” and “Just Let Go.”
