Gloc-9 shares upcoming album “Sukli”

As Gloc-9 celebrates his 18th year in the music industry, he shares great news about an upcoming album.

During the MTV Music Evolution press conference, Gloc-9 announces that he’s in the process of writing new songs for an EP which probably will contain five songs. So expect another great collaboration from Gloc-9 with some of the hottest local pop artists as he reveals the title of his album “Sukli”.

He also hints working with “Kalye,” an unreleased single about remembering the true essence of EDSA revolution that every Filipino should be proud of.

For more than a decade, it works as an advantage for Gloc-9 that all of his hits talked about experiences coming from the people which makes it more relatable to the larger scope of music audience in the Philippines. Compared to foreign hip-hop, Gloc-9 mentions that every song he composes is all about the story of the Filipino which makes it sound original.

This year, Gloc-9 is celebrating his 18th anniversary in the music field and he reminisces with some interesting situations before he started as a rapper.

For him, receiving or getting an award is not a requirement; it’s always a bonus. Aristotle remains humble when it comes to being recognized as an icon in the Philippine music scene.

“Actually hindi ko po tinitignan ang sarili ko as an icon, if anything I look at myself is as a ‘fan’, fan of hiphop.

The award-winning rapper didn’t confirm any release date for his new album, but fans can surely expect this to be big.
