Half a decade after winning X-Factor Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, best known as Little Mix embarked on a 5-month, 60-city tour to promote their third album. The Philippines was lucky to be one of the 4 Asian stops of the tour, with 3 being at various cities in Japan. The sold-out Get Weird Tour Manila was held last May 20, 2016 at KIA Theater.
The energy from the crowd did not dwindle from the very beginning of the show. Everyone’s on their feet, dancing, singing along and screaming with ardor for the girls. The girls were likewise untiring from waving to the crowd and at one point interacted by reading banners. Jade Thirlwall definitely got an A for effort when she read a banner saying “mahal namin kayo beh”. To which she also asked what ‘beh’ meant and upon finding out, gushed “am I your baby?” Needless to say that, everyone was in unison and responded positively to said question with a warm uproar.
The show had The Sam Willows as front act. The Sam Willows is a four member Singaporean pop band composed of of siblings Narelle and Benjamin Kheng, and their friends Sandra Riley Tang and Jonathan Chua. The quartet released a self-titled album last 2012.
