Jed Madela takes oath as OPM representative to the NCCA

WCOPA World Champion and Hall of Famer Jed Madela officially becomes the OPM Music Industry Sector representative to the NCCA after taking his oath Wednesday September 3.

Jed was inducted to the position by the Chairman of the National Committee on Music Prof. Felife de Leon Jr.

With this appointment, he will now become part of the Executive Council of the National Committee on Music tasked to promote the total development of the Filipino artists and audience.

The National Committee on Music under the Subcommission on the Arts is one of the 19 national committees of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) mandated to create policies and grants for the preservation, development and promotion of Philippine arts and culture. It also serves as the presidential inter-agency commission to coordinate cultural policies and programs.

Prior to the appointment, Jed is known with his achievements in music particularly his World Championship title and Hall of Fame awards at the WCOPA (World Championship of the Performing Arts). He is currently promoting his Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014 entry “If You Don’t Want to Fall” composed by Jude Gitamondoc.
