After making waves in her debut album two years ago, singer-songwriter Julie Anne San Jose is back with another promise through her latest record entitled “Deeper.”
Deeper contains 11 tracks, including the lead single “Right Where You Belong,” which showcased the multi-talented star’s maturity growth from her sudden emergence in 2012.
The single’s music video, originally released a few months ago, embodied the more feminine, and even the sultry side of JAPS; while retaining her trademark vocals, words and rhythm.
Despite the romantic-themed nature on most of the songs, Julie Anne is now taking her music to a level different from the teenage pop sound where she was first recognized.
She also tackled more elevated and matured issues, such as “If Love’s A Crime” which was all about forbidden love; as well as a self-acceptance and empowerment song titled “Diamond in my Eyes”; and Gospel-topic “Christ in Us, A Hope of Glory.”
She also made a switch on genres through her tracks “Kung Maibabalik Ko Lang,” and “Tulad Mo.” Julie Anne San Jose’s latest album Deeper was already out in the market since June 1 on digital format, and June 22 in CD format. It was formally launched last June 21 at her gig at the Skydome SM City North EDSA.
Since then, the album peaked at the top spot of the iTunes’ top album charts.
