After the success of Kithara‘s debut single To Move On, the OPM acoustic band recently released the official music video of their latest single Blinded.
This second single from Kithara‘s first album under Warner Music Love.Lost.Found was shot entirely in Laiya, Batangas.
Directed by Firestarter Studio’s Aris Magayanes, Kithara‘s latest offering showcased edgier sound and more sophisticated video production.
Frontman Pato San Juan said, Blinded is their way of bringing something new to their audience. Compared to their other music videos with actors, Blinded’s music video features the band playing outdoors as if nature was their huge studio.
Opening with the sound of the ocean waves followed by the classic grand piano, the music video easily catches the viewers’ emotions. Blinded talks about ones thoughts on “what happens after one moves on.” The sea gave a perfect backdrop to the song’s message for people searching for peace and resolve.
Compared to the subtle and mellow vocals of To Move On, Pato showcased more angst which gave Blinded a different texture and character reminiscent of Savage Garden’s Darren Hayes.
Love.Lost.Found, Kithara’s first Digital EP under Warner Music Philippines is available on SPOTIFY, iTunes and Deezer.
