Lea Salonga and Brad Kane, the singing voices behind Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, sing anew the iconic theme “A Whole New World.”
After 23 years, the two singers reunited on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and sang one of the most famous Disney themes in history.
The video posted on Good Morning America’s official Facebook page immediately spread online getting more than 1.9 million views and more than 49 thousand shares as of writing.
The reunion duet was warmly received by netizens. Most comments on the video praised the two for re-living the same charm and appeal of the song even after more than two decades since it was first done.
Aladdin cast together with A Whole New World composer Alan Menken were on Good Morning America to promote the movie’s diamond edition blue-ray combo which is due for release on October 13.
Lea on her Instagram account also posted a picture of her with Linda Larkin, the actress behind the voice of Princess Jasmin on Disney’s Aladdin.
Aside from the Aladdin reunion, Lea was also in the US for a new musical “Allegiance” which is due to start in November 2015.
