Listen: John Newman’s “Olé” Suave Breakup Song

John Newman releases his new single, “Olé” and people are buzzing about it, but its not because of the song . As noted, the reggae-pop song was both written and produced by singer, songwriter Calvin Harris which lead many to think that Newman’s recent release is a diss to renowned pop artist, Taylor Swift.

The song is written from a perspective of a man who enjoys the company of a woman. He narrates his visits to her appartment and how she “bring too much sunlight to my day.” However, the man is saddened by the fact that she doesn’t tell her friends about him and how she hides his number on her cellphone. The song also starts with Newman singing “Low Key,” which can be hinting to Taylor’s current boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki in the Thor franchise.

People suggest that, according to Harris, Tom and Taylor already had a relationship way before Taylor and Calvin broke up.
