The Philippines is not yet through with boy bands. Exceptionally talented JBK (an acronym of three member’s names Joshua Bulot, Bryan and Kim) became popular via Facebook after their a cappella cover videos of OPM, Indonesian, and Malaysian songs became viral.
Because most of their videos were shot in fire exits of a condominium (and constantly getting into trouble with the security guards for it) JBK gained the moniker #FireExitBoys.
JBK, managed by well known star-maker Chris Cahilig, was discovered after they won the McJim Classic Leather’s Dreams Get Real Season 1 talent search.
Since then the band launched a string of successful singles including radio hits Anong Meron Ka and the viral song Damang-Dama, which so far gained over 1.2 million views on Facebook. Damang-Dama later became the official single of Camella Homes.
This October, JBK will release their self-titled album JBK with five original tracks.
