The stage is all set this Saturday August 22, 2015 for the live semi-final round of The Voice Kids Season 2 to be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila Pasay City.
Six equally talented kids with big voices and big dreams will vie for the chance to be part of this year’s The Voice Kids 2 Top 4. Who among Team Sarah’s Kyle Echarri and Zephanie Dimaranan, Kamp Kawayan’s Elha Nympha and Sassa Dagdag, and Familea’s Reynan Del-anay and Esang De Torres of Team Lea will shine brighter?
From the top 6, four young artists with the highest percentage of votes from the public will move on to the grand finals scheduled next week August 29 and 30.
But before we witness their semi-finals performance let’s get to know first The Voice Kids 2 semi-finalists.
A kid from the Manobo tribe who just wanted to sing so that people will recognize their tribe, captured the hearts of the viewers with his heartfelt rendition of “Tagumpay Nating Lahat” during the blind audition. His rawness and genuine singing made the 3 coached turned and fight for him to be in their team. But in the end chooses to be with Team Lea.

At the battle round, Reynan faced-off with 2 girls Angel and Rovelyn but in the end his pure singing brought him to the sing-offs.

And during the sing-offs, Reynan’s version of “Amazing Grace” crushed the hearts of every listeners as he puts pure heart into his singing, putting almost all the viewers into tears.
Esang de Torres
Another 3 chair turner, Esang draws people attention with her great clarity in singing. She once joined It’s Showtime’s Mini Me as mini Lea Salonga, thus the influence in her voice is very obvious.

During Team Lea’s Battle round, Esang was pitted with Bianca and Stephanie. But Esang’s confidence and big heart pushed her again to the next level.

And at the sing-offs, Esang blows the coaches and the audience again with her flawless performance of Lea Navarro’s classic “Isang Mundo Isang Awit”. Coach Lea even gave her a standing ovation for her great performance.
This Pampanga native also turned 3 chairs during the Blind auditions with her rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier”. Bamboo and Sarah were the firsts to turn immediately after just few notes while Lea took time and waited for her to take off. And since Bamboo is one of the 1st to turn to her, Sassa decided to be part of Kamp Kawayan.

In the battles where she was matched with Nikki and Alexis, her distinct voice and her confidence on stage made her stand out.

Choosing a non-conventional contest piece Sassa stands out at the sing-offs with her version of “The Show”. Her distinct soulful voice strikes again to get the nod her coach Bamboo.
Elha Mae Nympa
A classic belter with a dream of helping her family, Elha was the last artist to be sing at the blind audition. Taking on Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love” she was able to convince the “not so into belting” coach Bamboo who turned during the middle of her performance.

Her battle round with Kate and Paul was one of the best battle rounds of the season garnering standing ovation from the 3 coaches and great cheers from the audience. While the 3 kids showed great power, coach Bamboo chose Elha to move to the sing-offs.

A natural belter, Elha goes with the classic “Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos” of Gary V. She was praised by Bamboo for her great control, thus giving her the blessings to be part of Top 6.
A timid and reserved Zephanie was seen in the blind auditions. Getting 2 coaches to turn on her, Zephanie chose to join Team Sarah.

Maintaining her reserved attitude on stage, Zephanie again smoothly traversed the battle round edging out Joshua and Ken Jhon.

But she was a revelation at the sing-offs with her bubbly and lively performance. Showing a different Zephanie with Ariana Grande’s “Problem”, she proved to her coach and the audience that she deserves a spot in the Top 6
Cebu based footballer, Kyle was the 1st one to appear in the pilot episode of The Voice Kids Season 2. His One Direction’s “Night Changes” performance was appreciated by Sarah and Bamboo but didn’t sit very well with Lea. In the end he picks Sarah to be his coach.

Going to the battle rounds, Kyle seemed lacking in self confidence on stage. With his non stellar performance he was easily outshined by Jolianne as noticed also by coaches Lea and Bamboo. But coach Sarah stick out with her guts for his talent and gave him the permit to be on the sing-offs.

At the sing-offs round, Kyle continues to lack that oomph factor to match the power of the other kids in Team Sarah. But like from the start, Sarah also continues with her instinct and chose Kyle to be on the Top 6 which draws flak from many televiewers and netizens.
The Voice Kids Season 2 live semi-finals performance night will be held at the New Port Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila on Saturday August 22 and the results night on Sunday August 23, 2015.
