Singer Jay-R Siaboc, famous for his appearance in “Pinoy Dream Academy,” surrendered to the local authorities in Toledo City, Cebu on Tuesday after rumors spread that he is a drug pusher.
Out of fear for his life, Siaboc surrendered peacefully to Supt. Samuel Mina Jr., acting chief of the Toledo City Police Office (TCPO). Mina also revealed that the singer told him that he wanted to change his life for the better.
Accoding to Mina, Siaboc was one of the 528 drug users and pushers that surrendered to them on Tuesday.
Siaboc admitted that he was using drugs but denied the allegations of him distributing them. He stated that, because of his work travelling from one place to another as a band singer, he was exposed to the use of illegal drugs.
Siaboc, together with the other drug users who surrendered, signed an oath to stop using illegal drugs.
Jay-R Siaboc was one of the graduates of the 2006 talent search “Pinoy Dream Academy” where he was runner-up to winner, Yeng Constantino.
