After a week of battling it out, Alden Richards emerged victorious and was hailed “Ultimate OPM Hearththrob” by netizens in the first GigsManila Pulse.

For the next clash, let’s see who will grab the title among their female counterparts.

Here arethree young, bubbly and trendy OPM female artists today who will vie to reign and be crowned the “Ultimate OPM Sweetheart.”

Kathryn Chandria Manuel Bernardo, more popularly known as Kathryn Bernardo, started her showbiz journey when she landed a permanent spot in the hit Sunday gag show “Going Bulilit.” From being a kid who throws rib-tickling lines, she bloomed into a gorgeous Teen Queen actress of her generation. She received a breakthrough role as the main protagonist in the remake of the hit  soap opera, Mara Clara. Following the success of Mara Clara, Kathryn went on   to  more exciting roles  opposite Daniel Padilla. Their loveteam reached  massive success  both in  television and on the big screen.

Just like any actors of today who  thrive on their versatility and maximize their full potential, Kathryn also  dove the recording industry. In 2012 her first single “Mula Noon Hanggang Ngayon,” was released as part of her TV series Princess and I soundtrack. Kathryn’s first solo original song “Ikaw Na Nga Yata,” was the theme song  for the Pinoy adaptation of a Korean series.

In 2014, Star Music released Kathryn’s debut album along with its lead single “You Don’t Know Me.” With the help the listeners and her enthusiastic fans, the song  climbed numerous local music charts.

Nadine Lustre appeared across TV networks and showed versatility in her craft as an artist. She became a TV host, an actress and a performer in a musical variety show. Her wings of fame flew higher when she topbilled as panget in the movie adaptation of the novel Diary ng Panget. Paired with equally talented James Reid, she hit the spot to claim her first big break in the industry.

In 2009, before the JaDine fever, Nadine already started her singing career as a member of all-female group, Pop Girls. The success of all-girls Korean pop band like Wonder Girls and 2NE1  inspired Viva Entertainment to create its local version. Comprised of five members, including Nadine. Viva successfully launched pop Girls with a 13-track album.

In 2014, she released her self-titled album under Viva Records. She then teamed up with Kean Cipriano to interpret Mark Villar‘s  “Sa Ibang Mundo” at the 2015 PhilPop Songwriting Competition. They clawed second runner-up and People’s Choice Awards during the finals night.

Nadine is on a roll this year as she recently completed the 2015 MTV EMA Best Southeast Asian Act nominees along with James Reid.

Donnalyn Bartolome

Social media sweetheart turned celebrity, Donnlayn Bartolome rose to popularity through cover videos uploaded on her social networking channels. Among them was her video performing Abra’s rap hit Gayuma which instantly went viral. She was later tagged as an internet sensation who can sing, rap, and dance at the same time. Wit her pretty face and bubbly personality, Donnalyn proved that she has tons of talents in store that she can share to her audience.

Viva Records launched her in the mainstream with the released of her first self-titled album which includes her hit single “Kakaibabe.” Donnalyn’s voice was also heard in ABNKKBSNPLAko?! movie soundtrack “Tuloy Pa rin” along with other Flipmusic artists Thyro, Yumi, and Sugar High.

Donnalyn took a leap from being an internet celebrity into a successful singer-songwriter in a very short period of time. She recently hints fans of her upcoming new album composed of six original tracks including its first single “Happy Break Up.”
