On Saturday August 22, The Voice Kids Season 2 Top 6 semi-finalists showed the best performances of their lives.
Held at Resorts World Manila, FamiLea’s Esang de Torres and Reynan Dal-Anay, Kamp Kawayan’s Sassa Dagdag and Elha Nympa and Team Sarah’s Zephanie Dimaranan and Kyle Echarri all gave their best shots to convince the public to vote for them to be part of the The Voice Kids 2 Top 4.
The Saturday’s show features the solo performances of the 6 kids with their chosen songs. It was opened by their performances with their coaches singing some of the most iconic OPM songs.
Zephanie was the first to perform singing Jessie J’s “Flashlight.” Known for her soft attitude on stage, Zephanie started the song slow then eventually soars live a true diva.

Following Zephanie was Reynan who pulls-off an emotional interpretation of Asin’s classic song “Itanong Mo sa Mga Bata.” Just like his previous performances in the blinds and in sing-offs, Reynan again crushes the hearts of the audiences and the 3 coaches who gave him standing ovation. Close to breaking into tears Reynan manages to give his best performance although tears are starting to fall from his eyes.

Kamp Kawayan’s Sassa Dagdag follows Reynan. The soulful young diva of Pampanga chose Beyonce’s “If I Were a Boy” as her semi-finals song piece. Sassa started strong with the song, but there were instances where lyrics are unclear. Towards the end she was able to redeem and pull off a solid one.

After Sassa, Lea’s mini me Esang de Torres follows. Esang, known for her power and clarity gave justice to Nanette Inventor’s “Salamat Salamat Musika.” Her commanding presence and confidence on stage made her shine as stated by her coach Lea.
“Paglabas nang paglabas mo sa entablado na ‘yan kitang kita you are a star, you are just a star. Salamat sa Diyos na ako yung pinili mong coach.” said coach Lea.

Next to perform after Esang was Cebu’s pride Kyle Echarri. While many Netizens didn’t agree on Sarah’s decision to put him in the Top 6, Kyle continues to charm the audience with his ways on stage. Taking on David Pomeranz “Got To Believe in Magic,” Kyle draws loud cheers and applause from his supporters.

Last but not the least was Bamboo’s belter Elha Mae Nympha. Chosing Carousel’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” Elha wows the coaches which earned for her a standing ovation as she flawlessly belts out the song which made her performance tonight soar.

After the performance of the 6 young artists, the voting lines were opened for public voting but immediately closed after the commercial break. And before the show ends Robi and Yeng showed the initial tally of votes with kid I getting the majority at 30.32%. Percentage of votes for the remaining kids are as follows, kid T – 6.83%, Kid V – 7.4%. Kid K – 15.85%, Kid D 12.67% and Kid S 26.94%.
Tomorrow Sunday August 23 will be the group performances and results night wherein the Top 4 Grand Finalist will be revealed.
