A new single, a music video and an upcoming album, Taylor Swift reveals these three big surprises to her fans in her Yahoo livestream in New York’s Empire State Building, Monday, August 18.
After giving multiple hints on social media over the past weeks, Taylor Swift drops her new single “Shake It Off.” It is the first single from her much-anticipated fifth album due out October 27 titled “1989,” which she found an inspiration in listening to late-’80s pop. Taylor Swift reteams with pop music master Max Martin and ShellBack, who also previously co-wrote and produced the Red singles “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
“People can say whatever they want about us at any time and we cannot control that,” she told the audience regarding to the lyrics of the song as she continues to transform into a pop star.
Directed by Mark Romanek, the music video for the uptempo “Shake It Off,” finally reveals. In the video, Taylor Swift is doing fun. She portrays as a cheerleader, ballet dancer, hiphop breakdancer and even a vocalist in a rock band.
Another big surprise during the livestream is the “1989 Swiftstakes ,” wherein Swift will give away 1,000 tickets and 500 meet and greets for her next tour.
