During the weekends, Philippines’ most successful reality singing competition The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 enters the Knockouts round wherein the Top 6 of each teams were chosen.
First team to enter the Knockouts round was Team Apl aired on Saturday January 10, 2015. The team composed of Daryl Ong, Mark Cando, Bradley Holmes, Mackie Cao, Suy Galvez, Ferns Tosco, Patricia Gomez, Allysa Bonaobra and Janet Cadayona. First batch to enter the Voice Philippines Knockout stage were Ferns Tosco, Suy Galvez and Patricio Gomez followed by Daryl Ong, Bradley Holmes and Mark Cando and last to perform were Mackie Cao, Allysa Bonaobra and Janet Cadayona.
After each batch’s performances, Coach Apl picked 2 artists to continue their journey to the live shows, and the Top 6 that will continue to carry the flag of Team Apl were Ferns Tosco, Suy Galvez, Daryl Ong, Bradley Holmes, Mackie Cao and Allysa Bonaobra. Ferns and Suy who sang “Let it Be” and “At Last” edges out Patricia’s “Oo” performance. Meanwhile, Mark Cando’s “The Impossible Dream” performance didn’t made it possible for him to move to the next round as he was booted out by Daryl and Bradley with their renditions of “The Greatest Love of All” and “Kumusta mga Kaibigan.” Same with Janet Cadayona’s “Pusong Bato” which was outperformed by the belters Mackie Cao and Allysa Bonaobra with “Salamat” and “Follow Your Dream.”
On Sunday’s (January 11, 2015) episode, it was Team Lea who battled it out for their lives to continue with the competition. Timmy Pavino, Leah Patricio, Charlie Catbagan, Casper Blancaflor, Nino Alejandro, Mic Llave, Abbey Pineda, Miro Valera and Jem Cubil individually gave their all out performance in the effort to outshine each other and move to the live shows. .
In the end only 6 artists can move on to the next level of the competition and the Team Lea that will go the live shows were Timmy Pavino who serenades Ms. Lea Salonga and all the viewers with his version of the Gary V classic “Narito,” Leah Patricio who effortlessly belted Lani Misalucha’s “Bukas na lang Kita Mamahalin,” Nino Alejandro with “Love Hurts,” Casper Blancaflor who did Evanescence “Bring Me To Life,” Abbey Pineda with her own version of another Gary V hit “Di Na Natuto” and the Miro Valera out of the box performance of Spice Girls hit “Wanna Be.”

Both teams will now wait for the top 6 of Camp Kawayan and Team Sarah which is set to have their knockouts round this weekend Jan 17 and 18.
